      So far...29 RACERS have gone 1,388.95 MILES with 446 ACTIVITIES and 1,377 FITNESS ENGAGEMENTS. There is just one day left for the JA Financial Fitness Movement Fall Race. You have until 11:59 p.m. TOMORROW to log your activities and add to your fundraising totals. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK ALL!

      Courtney from JA here! Congratulations on a wonderful start to the JA Financial Fitness. Don't forget to post updates and cheer on your teammates here in the message board. Don't forget to check out the street view of the route as you log your activities. Post pictures on social media and make sure to tag @JAofWNY with the #Play4JAWNY. Lastly, if you finish the race (I'm talking to you @LRaghs :) ) you can keep logging activities and go through the route again. There are prizes for fastest finisher AND longest total miles! There is still time to join the JA Movement! Registration and fundraising will continue until the last day, so even latecomers can still participate! And, ALL racers can postdate activity if you get a late start or miss a day of logging!

    Get up and Play4JA!

    The Virtual JA Financial Fitne$$ Movement gives people of all ages the opportunity to stay active, connect with family and friends, and support JA!

    Log your exercise and watch yourself move along the 25-mile path through Buffalo, NY. We will take you from our JA office in Williamsville, pass by a few schools that we provide JA programming, and conclude at the office of Bank of America at Fountain Plaza in Downtown Buffalo. All from the comfort of your own home.

    Track your runs, walks, and other physical activity (yoga, pilates, yard work, anything!)

    The $35 one-time registration fee provides access to this virtual challenge, and helps to support JA programming to WNY students. Why 25 exercise miles you might ask? 25 miles = 40.1k(ilometers)! Get it!?

    Make it a competition! Challenge family members, friends, and co-workers to see who comes out on top.

    Funds you raise as an individual also help your company reach its corporate goal! JA will recognize the overall Top Five Fundraising CompaniesMost Improved Company, and Top New Fundraising Company from all of our Play4JA efforts.

    A few guidelines to follow:


    • We rely on the honor system. You don't have to use a device to prove your miles, a good map or watch suffices. If you post on social media, please include #Play4JAWNY and tag @JAofWNY so we can find you!

    • Complete your bio. Include #groups to better track friends or colleagues.

    • If your race includes activity conversions, we try to keep the playing field level, and conversions are based on effort, ie 1 hour cycling = ~1 hour swimming = ~1 hour tennis. Please log cycling minutes, not miles. Only log intentional exercise please.

    • To delete a log, click its gear on the right.

    • Don’t like one type of email? Unsubscribe at the bottom of that email.

    • Attribute your exercise to the appropriate day—don't combine workouts from multiple days. Only backdate logs for a race up to two weeks in the past. Activities submitted after the race ends will not count toward race leaderboards.
