If any finishers are volunteers or participants in the real-life races, and you're going to be at the Sidestreet Cafe post-race beginning at 5:30 p.m. today, you can pick up your Acadia Centennial Medallion there from @AOMM if you would like. I'll be wearing the Medallion, and maybe the digital virtual race bib. Thanks for being in on the fun!

AOMM Oct 16, 2016Hey @LeslieB @Jillian and @Leonard - can you add another 0.05 to your mileage to round you up, so it says "Finished"? There's a rounding issue with the underlying. Want to be sure you are officially finished before 11:59 p.m. tonight. I think some or all of you were in the real-life MDI Marathon? Congrats! If any finishers are volunteers or participants in the real-life races, and you're going to be at the Sidestreet Cafe post-race beginning at 5:30 p.m. tonight, you can pick up your Acadia Centennial Medallion there if you would like. Celebrate the 100th anniversary of Acadia National Park with the 2016 Mount Desert Island Marathon - Acadia100 Virtual Edition, an official Acadia Centennial event.
Wherever you are in the world, you can participate virtually by running or walking and logging your miles, and watch your avatar move along on a map of the actual MDI Marathon route.
You have 10 days to do your 26.2 miles, to be completed by the end of the real-life race day on Oct. 16, 2016. To ensure you cross the finish line and to take into account any mileage rounding issues, be sure to log a few extra tenths of a mile. Registration ends Oct. 3, and your special Acadia Centennial finisher's medal will be mailed within 3-4 weeks after the end of the race.
Special pricing for registrants in the real-life 2016 MDI Marathon who want to log some miles virtually in advance of race day, and get the additional Acadia Centennial finisher's medal. We will cross reference the real-life entrants' list and if runners don't appear then the virtual fee will be forfeited.
At least 5% of gross proceeds from the race go to help support Acadia National Park. Brought to you by acadiaonmymind.com and runmdi.org, official Acadia Centennial Partners.

- We rely on the honor system... you don't have to use a device to prove your miles -- a good map suffices.
- No step counting, please use intentional miles.
- Only walking or running miles please! (NOTE: miles on a racer’s personal log are for all races they are in, over all sports)
- Please attribute your mileage to the appropriate day -- don’t combine mileage from multiple days.
- Please only backdate mileage for a race up to two weeks in the past.
- Miles submitted after the race ends will not count toward race leaderboards.
