      I think the idea is that we are rewarding time spent rather than always distance, so it seems time is of more interest!
      Impressive either way!!
      This is in the FAQs (see below), but personally I think that if you can cycle 23 miles on a work day and still be able to walk up the stairs, you should get an actual medal or at least a jolly good distance score - we are trying to keep motivated after all! Go you! : "We try to keep the playing field level, and conversions are based on effort, ie 1 hour cycling = ~1 hour swimming = ~1 hour tennis. Please log cycling minutes, not miles."

      Thanks to all team captains who participated in the Warm Up. Next Step - Phase 2 From Wednesday 4 November through Friday 13 November you can now focus on recruiting your teams in time for our Monday 16 November VTKC kickoff! Hopefully you all found the Racery platform fairly intuitive and your experience will help to coach your team mates to victory! You will all receive a Racery reminder to begin recruiting your teams in a few hours. I also posted a reminder for team captains on our VTKC Workplace page. Additionally, colleagues who are interested in non-team captain roles will now begin to create their profiles and sign up to teams they wish to join. So be on the lookout for new team members who may choose to join your teams.

      I think that this has been a really interesting way to review how much of our time is really spent engaging in physical activities. It's been motivating and reassuring , as in lockdown I've often felt as if my life revolved around the desk in my dining room. Now I know that isn't true, I'm inspired to do more. Off to bed now as I'm a bit broken :)

      I just saw the leaderboard and not sure how I ended up in last place. LOL!!! I just logged my 1 hour gym workout under weight lifting so hopefully I have now passed @RichardC who should now be in last place. LOL!!! :-) Plus later tonight I'll log my almost 5000 steps today according to Google Fit. :-)

      It's a shame that reading is not included in the list of activities. I thought reading is a moderate metabolic activity.
      Maybe we could class it as ‘mindfulness activities’?
      Not a bad idea to include reading as a 'mindfulness' activity. I support that! :-)
      Especially reading with a 6 year old.. that's a hard core mental work out 😅
      Agree that is mindfulness as long as you are fully present in reading 📚
      @BobLee @DreamCatcher @Charger68 @Cameronni Thanks for the comments guys. It is really creative an idea to see reading as mindfulness. But, I can't quite get myself to the idea since to me, mindfulness is to bring your mind to you, while reading is to transcend to the author to the least or to the world of the book in most cases. In this sense reading actually takes your mind away, doesn't it?
      I think that reading with kids - not for them, but with them actually should be recognized as a mental workout @Rathin - I guess most of the parents can back me up here 🤣🤣🤣

    Welcome to the free Kantar Captains Warmup Virtual Race! This three day event will give you a preview of our cool virtual race functionality, so you can help lead your team. All participant's miles will help power Team Kantar from Vienna to Athens.

    Exercise anywhere you want. Then log the activity and see your avatar move across the route. Catch a Google Street View of the new virtual locale, then cheer your real fellow racers! Share your bib on social media! Brag about your streaks or longest mileage!

    We've got racers all over the globe! So to keep everyone on the same page, we've come up with some handy guidelines:

    1. Watch this video of Racery pro tips.
    2. Complete your bio. Include #groups to better track friends or colleagues.
    3. Update your passcode in settings.
    4. We try to keep the playing field level, and conversions are based on effort, ie 1 hour cycling = ~1 hour swimming = ~1 hour tennis. Please log cycling minutes, not miles.
    5. To delete a log, click its gear on the right.
    6. Don’t like one type of email? Unsubscribe at the bottom of that email.
    7. If you post on social media, please include #raceryapp so we can find you!
    8. We rely on the honor system. You don't have to use a device to prove your miles, a good map or watch suffices.
    9. Only log intentional exercise please.
    10. Attribute your exercise to the appropriate day—don't combine workouts from multiple days.
