      Hi everyone, Sorry for those whose first milestone email was delayed until today, we had a technical glitch! Some of you have been asking about how swimmable the river is... and the answer is that it's definitely swimmable in parts, but that's probably not recommended :) Good thing we're virtual. Some sections are really busy, but some are quite calm, like this part (sorry for the long link!): https://www.google.com/maps...

      Hi everyone! You're doing great! Just wanted to let you know to feel free to use a swimmer's mile (1650) as you're converting your swim distances! I appreciate all of you so much! Keep up the great swimming! Or as Heidi said: "Swim like a mother"

    Join Mali Health in a virtual fundraising race supporting mothers in Mali, and celebrating mothers everywhere.

    In the month of May, swim to honor a mother, as a mother, or even against your mother - just join us to celebrate all the mothers in your life, while helping mothers in Mali.

    Entry fee is $10.

    All donations will fund programs that provide resources to mothers, helping them access basic primary and maternal care, participate in savings and lending groups, and keep their children healthy. $5.00 of entry fee will pay for Racery’s efforts to build these great races and the rest will go to Mali Health – making $5.00 of your entry fee tax-deductible.

    To keep everyone on the same page, we've come up with some guidelines:
    • Fundraising can start ANY TIME after sign-up
    • We operate on the honor system... you don't have to use a device to prove your miles -- a good map suffices.
    • Only swimming miles please! (NOTE: miles on a racer's personal log are for all races they are in, over all sports.)
    • Please attribute your mileage to the appropriate day -- don’t combine mileage from multiple days.
    • Please only backdate mileage for a race up to two weeks in the past.
    • Only mileage added before the event officially closes on May 31st at 23:59:59 EST will count in the leaderboards.
