This is not the Miami Beach you might be thinking of. Starting May 9, travel 278 miles with your team of up to 40 from the South Sudan to the south coast of Uganda in a run that follows the first person to ever cross the country on foot in a single journey.
You don't have to complete the mileage on your own! The your teams mileage logs will be collaborative and push your team's avatar around the map.
Stop along the way to view the sights of the African desert. Join our CCO team (non competitive) or create your own!
Portions of the entry fee and any added donations go to The Pastor's Disciple's Network.
RACE GUIDELINES:
Exercise anywhere you want. Then log activity and see yourself move on our map and leaderboards. Catch a Google street view of your virtual locale, then cheer your real fellow racers! Share your bib on social media! Brag about your streaks or longest runs!
We've got racers all over the globe! So to keep everyone on the same page, we've come up with some handy guidelines:

We've got racers all over the globe! So to keep everyone on the same page, we've come up with some handy guidelines:
- We rely on the honor system... you don't have to use a device to prove your miles -- a good map suffices.
- LOTS of intentional activity -- dancing, swimming, yoga-ing, and many more -- can be converted to miles. (See full list here .) Note: All conversions are based on a translation of steps into hour/mile. For example, an hour of moderate cycling will register as 4.83 miles on the route, while the same period of breaststroke will register as 5.14 miles. If you use a step counter while you are intentionally walking or running, just enter those as steps and we’ll convert them too!
- Please attribute your activity to the appropriate day -- don't combine workouts from multiple days.
- Please only backdate logs for a race up to two weeks in the past.
- Activities submitted after the race ends will not count toward race leaderboards.
