    This year, the Yale School of Nursing Alumni Association (YSNAA) is supporting the Mental Health Innovation Network (MHIN) in celebration of the Yale Day of Sevice with a Virtual 5K!

    Mental health is of high public health concern at a global level. There are many individuals affected by increased mental and emotional strain and facing mental health disorders. In honor of Mental Health Month this May, we have dedicated our Day of Service initiative to raising awareness of mental health for the YSN community through a series of webinars over the past several months.  The culmination of this event is a virtual 5K to raise funds for MHIN, an organization dedicated to changing the landscape of mental health care at a global level.

    Join YSNAA this May, wherever you are located! You can walk, run, or wheel your 5K (3.1 miles) whenever and wherever it is convenient for you.  Your registration fee will cover a small portion for use of our 5K platform and the remaining proceeds will go directly to MHIN. You can further help the cause by asking your friends and family to join the 5K or donate as well.

    Yale Day of Service is a university-wide initiative that started in 2008 with the goal of bringing Yalies together to support the communities in which we live and work.

    After you've paid and registered below, please download Racery's Android App or Apple App and follow the instructions in the email we send you! Make sure all battery savers are off! Then run, walk or wheelchair ANYWHERE. (No gears or motors please!)

    See who can run or walk the fastest 5k. And test out your navigation skills to see who can map out the most interesting route using the Racery App!

    The route you take when the App is on will be traced on the race's online map.  And you'll automatically be ranked by your time on the race's leader board. Run again if you want to improve your ranking or route design!

    If you don't want to use the Apps, you can log your time and distance manually, but your route won't appear on the race's online map.
