      Every time I try to put my miles in for this week- it switches to 2022 and I can’t submit my miles!

      @Bettymh I noticed that while on the Racery phone app. If you go to the website and log on from there, you should be able to back log that way. I was able to backlog a few workouts that way this week. Hopefully that helps? @AOMM ?
      @Bettymh Click on your picture and the “see full bio” button, that will bring you to the web browser. Then click on the menu drop down menu to “log activity”.
      @Bettymh - if you already signed up for the 2022 virtual race at https://racery.com/r/2022-a... you might need to log out of that race. Then log back into the 2021 race: https://racery.com/r/2021-s... Hopefully that will work? And if @DrI 's suggestions also don't work, I can have racery add your missing 2021 miles next week. Sorry about the technical glitch!

      I’m not getting notices to my iPhone. Was it something I did while “cleaning” up my phone? Just realized it has been awhile. Anyone have thoughts on this?

      Hi @bgizzi - I know that after a period of not opening certain racery emails, I think you are automatically unsubscribed (plus there is always the option to unsubscribe from all or some racery emails). I think with the new race starting up Jan. 1 - I'm putting the finishing touches on that now - you may automatically be signed up with racery emails again. So if you want to wait until then, hopefully those racery emails will start up again for you. And if you're still not getting them then, we can get the tech team to address. The new race route will be circling Crater Lake, so hope you will be along for the ride!

      @Bettymh and @bbarr - think you can finish the second loop by Dec. 31, to qualify for special teams? Need a total of more than 446.8 miles. As of Christmas Day, @Bettymh had 435.4 miles and @bbarr had 422.1 miles. Make sure you're not missing any miles! And @TomZot if you want your streak to continue into the next race beginning Jan. 1, you should go back to Oct. 17 and log at least 0.05 mi - you can always subtract that amount from what you're logging between now and Dec. 31.       Trying to respond to AOMM's question of whether I'm running Millinocket this year? You bet I am! It probably won't be pretty...most of my miles have been incidental....going through with working obligations and then walking the dog, Dr. Seuss (yes, that's his name!) and thus not having much opportunity for real running other than a couple of times a week, but running/walking nonetheless! Yay!

      Just added a poll to the Facebook group page, to get ideas for the next virtual race starting Jan. 1, 2022, and which national park or national monument we should detour to, even if we still start in Acadia and end atop Katahdin. https://www.facebook.com/gr... Among the options Crater Lake (not too far from @bgizzi and @Sophie?) and Chaco Canyon (not too far from @SeaUrchin ?) - feel free to add your own choice, or to vote for more than one! Will also be putting together a Survey Monkey and sharing it here and on the Facebook group page, to get ideas for future virtual race planning.       Sorry I've been MIA, everyone. Today, Oct. 17, was to have been the running of the real-life MDI Marathon and Half, but the pandemic cancelled it. That's my motivation (plus all the virtual racers here!) to go in today and backdate all my miles to Aug. 2 in Racery, to see if I've landed on or crossed the finish line of the MDI Marathon and Half route embedded in this 223.4-mile virtual race. I'll also put on the Facebook group page the exact mileage within the virtual race route, of where the MDI Marathon and Half start and finish lines are. And I'll give a shout out to those virtual racers who are currently on the virtual MDI Marathon and Half route, as well as the virtual Millinocket Marathon and Half route. If you didn't hear the real-life Millinocket is going on! Let's all run virtually and in real-life to @MooseDropIn !!

    New nonprofit being added Oct. 17 as a beneficiary of at least 5% gross proceeds from this virtual race: Mount Desert Island Marathon. With the pandemic cancelling the real-life race two years in a row, the creators of this virtual race are proud to support the nonprofit whose goal is "to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage this with exercise through running, jogging and walking."

    Participate in the 2021 virtual edition of the Maine Sea to Summit Series and help raise funds for Acadia National Park and Millinocket, the gateway to Katahdin, Maine's highest mountain.

    Virtually climb the 26 peaks of Acadia, run the Mount Desert Island and Millinocket Marathons, tour 9 lighthouses (including those on Monhegan and in Acadia), visit Stephen King sites, and summit the 3 peaks in Baxter State Park on the Appalachian Mountain Club's New England Four Thousand Footers list.

    Earn a "Maine STRONG" medal at the same time with custom ribbons - sparkly Virtual Edition of the Sea to Summit Series ribbon with lobster patch; I LOVE Friends of Acadia or I LOVE Millinocket Memorial Library ribbon; or ribbon listing the 26 peaks of Acadia and 3 Baxter State Park summits on the NE 4000 Footers list.

    Or you have the option of the classic "Acadia to Katahdin" medal with camo or lumberjack ribbon.

    Start atop Cadillac, the first place to see the sun rise in the USA between Oct. 7 and March 6, and virtually climb all 26 peaks of Acadia on Mount Desert Island, then virtually run the MDI Marathon (which was slated in real-life for Oct. 17 until the pandemic cancelled).

    Then tour lighthouses from South Portland to Lubec, and the less-visited parts of Acadia from Isle au Haut to Baker Island to Schoodic.

    Finally, head north to virtually run the Millinocket Marathon, and climb the 3 Baxter State Park summits on the NE 4000 Footers list, finishing atop Katahdin.

    (This virtual race is not officially affiliated with any real-life races, other than as the virtual edition of the Maine Sea to Summit Series co-sponsored by acadiaonmymind.com and runmdi.org, and is not officially affiliated with any national parks, other than helping to support the Friends of Acadia, a partner of Acadia National Park.)

    Wherever you are in the world, you can participate virtually by running or walking and logging your miles. Plus there is a dropdown calculator that allows you to convert minutes spent bicycling, swimming, doing calisthenics and other activities to a running-walking mileage equivalent. Watch your avatar move along on a map from Acadia to Katahdin, and other places in between, jumping from segment to segment.

    You have 152 days, until 11:59 PM EST on Dec. 31, 2021, to complete the segments. You can backdate miles to Aug. 2, 2021, but log them one day at a time to get the maximum virtual race experience.

    To ensure you cross the finish line and to take into account any mileage rounding issues, be sure to log a few extra tenths of a mile. And if you opted in for special finisher's medal(s), they will be mailed upon conclusion of the race.

    Everyone is a winner, with final medals mailed soon after Dec. 31, whether you completed the segments by then or not. Mileage from this race and future races will count toward cumulative totals, allowing you to reach special milestones and recognition. Details of the Acadia to Katahdin Virtual Racing Hall of Fame to be announced at acadiaonmymind.com/virtual-races

    At least 5% of gross proceeds from the race go to help support Acadia National Park via the nonprofit Friends of Acadia; Millinocket via the nonprofit Millinocket Memorial Library and Our Katahdin. Plus a fourth nonprofit as of Oct. 17: Mount Desert Island Marathon.

    We've got racers all over the globe! To keep everyone on the same page, we've come up with some handy guidelines:

    • We rely on the honor system... you don't have to use a device to prove your miles -- a good map suffices.

    • Please only backdate mileage to the start of this race, or Aug. 2, 2021.

    • No step counting, please use intentional miles.

    • Walking or running miles are the default activity, with other activities like bicycling in the activity dropdown menu! (NOTE: miles on a racer’s personal log are for all races they are in, over all sports)

    • Please attribute your mileage to the appropriate day -- don’t combine mileage from multiple days.

    • Miles submitted after the race ends will not count toward race leaderboards.
