Bio: In 2011, I had a surgery to remove a rather large cyst in my abdomen. As a result of that, and my (at the time) newly discovered May-Thurner Syndrome, I found myself with a blood clot that went from my belly button down my left leg, all the way to my foot. Doctors said I would never walk without assistance or pain, and would certainly never be able to run again. Boy have I proved them wrong! I have been able to run a few 5ks, and joining HRC has definitely kept me motivated to move.
