Instagram unlocks lots of powerful images and metaphors. Recently, a couple of images there really resonated with things I’ve been thinking about relative to how Racery creates new features.
The first image is a reminder about the importance of saying no. We’re all rushing forward to certainty and completion, and ‘perfecting’ something satisfies both those urges. But we need to save our energy for perfecting the right things. Otherwise, we’ll never have enough energy left to FIND the right things.
And the next image reminds us that everyone sees something different in a situation. It’s really a variation on the old ‘five blind men describe an elephant’ tale. Running a company (or part of a company) is about trying to consolidate our many visions so we capture and integrate as many of those visions as possible.
Absolutely stunning and unique anamorphic work by @tomedicus with his new new project “Emergence Lab.” This project deals with anamorphic sculptures in the form of cubes featuring six hand-painted images inside. These fragmented paintings are spread across 216 laser-cut acrylic glass strips that perfectly align to form an image at a specific side. As you can see as the cube rotates each side reveals a different image and offers a brilliantly thought out piece of art. Truly amazing and yes, we have one on order #thomasmedicus #anamorphic #sculpture #cube #creative #art #blackappleart
