5.0 miles1.0 Daily Action of wRTV Daily Activations = 5.0 mileOne of the things I love about my community is that environmental stewardship is something that’s a daily discussion and has been for years. We love and personally take responsibility for our trails of which we have many. We plog regularly as part of our parkrun and have done tree planting along the trail to fight erosion during storms. So making this conversation and planning is not a new activity for today - it’s today’s discussion as another step in an ongoing focus.

5.0 miles1.0 Daily Action of wRTV Daily Activations = 5.0 mileThis one was easy for us! Nearly everything with my community is bartered, gifted and traded. We eat from community farms with sustainable agriculture practices. We have been using reusable bags for years (small halt during the 2020 first pandemic wave when we were very hard hit), and fix things and reuse them. Today we had an impromptu concert in the community food forest on the next block.

Living in a target area and having had experiences with IEDs, picking things up off the ground is also something that… well. But I was able to watch people eating or drinking and when they got up and left their garbage, I was able to get that!! There’s a funny little back and forth added to today’s run (another post) that shows that area.
